Mexico’s Zapatista rebel leader Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos steps down.
As many other young men in the 90s, I was fascinated by the story of indigenous uprising in southern Mexico Chiapas. On 1 January 1994, when the U.S.–Mexico–Canada free trade agreement became effective, Subcomandante Marcos led an army of Mayan farmers into eastern Chiapas state, to protest what he saw as the Mexican federal government’s mistreatment of the nation’s indigenous peoples.
While his identity is still unclear, mystery, passion, dream made him soon a post-modern Che Guevara, an hero for many.
In August 2008 I’ve spend few weeks in Chiapas. After they checked on me, I was secretly trained for few nights in San Cristobal de las Casas by people from the hidden Zapatista Army of National Liberation and finally allowed as International Observer in the occupied Indigenous Community “Francisco Gomez” - back then was one of the 5 villages occupied by the indigenous and monitored by the federal army eager to come in and take them back.

Florentine T-bone Steak (Bistecca alla Fiorentina)
A favorite of Tuscan cuisine, Bistecca alla Fiorentina consists of a thickly cut and very large T-bone steak grilled over a wood or charcoal fire traditionally served very rare.
As early recipe dictates Bistecca alla Fiorentina must be: 1-1.5 kg; 5-6 cm thick; 3-5 min grilling per side (flipping it only once) and 5-7 min vertically standing on its bone so as to make the blood drain out.
Few months ago, when i heard In Shanghai some Chinese friends went to a small village near Florence to enjoy the famous Florentine Steak, I told myself it is a time I must go and see it with my own eyes. What’s the best font size for the web?
Recommendations
We can be reasonably confident that even a low–x-height typeface like Times New Roman will be readable on most devices if you set it to least 14 points tall, but 18pt is a better choice if your design accommodates it. If you use a more readable face such as Arial, 12pt is a good minimum, with 15pt being pretty much ideal.
The good news is that our old rule of thumb—start at 16pt—is still a pretty good one, at least for users on laptops, desktops and phones. But if you are designing for a conference room PC, no text should ever be smaller than 26pt Arial, and most text should be at least 33pt.

2014 New Year’s eve dinner with family
Traditional new year eve, big dinner with family all the way until midnight sparkling wine celebration
- Carpaccio of Norwegian smoked salmon with sliced mushrooms
- Carpaccio of Sicilian octopus with boiled potatoes
- Carpaccio of Sicilian sword fish
- Sparkling dry white wine, classic method: Ferrari Rose
- Tagliatelle with Black Truffle
- Christmas tree
- Cotechino (typical Italian cooked pork sausage) with green lentils [this is a MUST dish for new year eve dinner, it supposes to bring luck and money in the coming year]
- Pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts
- Panettone and Cavallucci
Sorbetto limone
- rompere l’uovo per ottenere il bianco
- aggiungere i 200 gr di zucchero
- con le fruste elettriche montare per circa 5 min
- aggiungere i 300 ml di latte, poco per volta, e amalgamare con le fruste elettriche e assicurarsi che sul fondo non ci siano residui
- aggiungere 3 o 4 pezzi di buccia di limone
- mettere il tutto sul fuoco fino a raggiungere l’ebolizzione, girare in continuazione, non appena inizia a bollire spegnere il fuoco
- togliere le bucce di limone e lasciate raffredare finche non sara a temperatura ambiente
- nel frattempo spemiamo i 600 gr di limone
- quanda sara a temperatura ambiente, aggiungiamo il succo dei limoni, e la panna (fredda) e amalgamiamo con le fruste elettriche per circa 5 min
- il composto e fatto, andiamo a metterelo in congelatore per circa 2 ore ricordandosi di mescolare ogni 30 min per evitare la formazione die cristalli
(si puo conservare a lungo in congelatore, priam di usarlo basta metterlo un attimo nel frullatore e subito diverra cremoso)

Crema (sorbetto) caffè
Ingredienti per crema di caffe:
- 3 tazzine di caffe (a temperatura ambiente, quindi fatto in precedenza)
- 20 gr di cioccolate al latte (scioglierlo a bagno maria e poi mescolarlo al caffe)
- 200 gr di panna montata (fredda)
- 2 cucchiai di zucchero da aggiungere alla panna prima di montarla
Iniziare a montare la panna, aggiungere il caffe aromatizzato poco per volta, finche il tutto sara ben mescolato ed avra una consistenza cremosa, dopodiche mettere nel congelatore (meglio in un contenitore non metallico) per 2 ore ma ricordandosi di mescolare ogni 30 min (per evitare la formazione dei cristalli). La crema e pronta e la si puo conservare in frigo fino al momento dell’uso.
